Picnics in the Park: The Kind of Fridays They’ll Remember
From 17th July to 28th August, every Friday from 17:30 to 20:30, Picnics in the Park returns to Tee 1 on the South Course for one of Quinta do Lago's favourite summer traditions. Think picnic blankets on the grass, live music, children running freely between games and activities, and families enjoying long summer evenings outdoors together.
Relaxed, lively, and full of feel-good summer atmosphere, it's the perfect Friday plan for all ages. Expect face painting, balloon modelling, glitter bar fun, traditional games, slides, bouncy castles, interactive entertainment, and plenty of space for grown-ups to unwind too.
Book ahead, gather your family and friends, and make summer Fridays memorable at Quinta do Lago.

For the preservation of the golf course, tables and other types of furniture are not authorised on the premises of Picnic in the Park. Please also note that pets are not allowed on the golf course.
To improve the experience and reduce waiting times, the zipline will now operate with a ticketing system.
Guests wishing to use the zipline should collect a ticket and keep an eye on the display screen for their number. Tickets must be collected in person by the child who will be using the zipline, and only one ticket will be issued per child.
Please note that ticket availability is limited and tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once your number is called, there is a tolerance of three subsequent ticket numbers before your ticket becomes invalid.
We hope this new system will create a smoother experience and minimise queue times for everyone.

South Course
Multiple winner of the World Golf Awards, including Portugal's Best Golf Course (2014, 2017, 2019, 2021–2024) and Europe's Best Golf Course (2022 & 2023)
The South Course is the crown jewel of Quinta do Lago. Designed in 1974 by William Mitchell, who introduced American-style greens, tees and bunkers to the Algarve, it quickly established itself as one of Europe's premier championship courses. A favourite among European Tour professionals, this 6,500-metre, par-72 layout winds through umbrella pines, lakes and wildflowers, with stunning views across the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
Its championship status, however, does not deter the amateur golfer. While the 8th, 15th and 18th are testing holes for low-handicap players, the course's varying difficulty challenges golfers of all levels and abilities. Accurate tee shots are essential for reaching the greens, as the variety of doglegs and strategically positioned hazards demand precision throughout the round. The front nine, which weave through mature parkland, generally favour a draw, while the back nine, looping around the lake, favour a fade from the tee.
