Movies in the Park: Blockbuster Summer Nights at Tee1 (DEV)

Movies in the Park: Blockbuster Summer Nights at Tee1 (DEV)

28th July | 11th August | 18:00 PM

There’s movie night… and then there’s movie night at Quinta do Lago, where the stars belong both on screen and overhead. On 28 July and 11 August, from 18:00 to 23:00, Movies in the Park returns to Tee1 on the South Course, bringing one of Quinta do Lago’s favourite summer traditions back to the grass.

With family favourites, feel-good classics, live music from The Originals Band, kids happily camouflage into face painting, tackle balloon modelling, play traditional games, and bob up and down on the bouncy castle before the film begins. Choose your setup wisely: a cosy blanket package for the family, a buggy package for two, or simply settle in with popcorn and let the evening do the rest.

Book your spot soon, grab your blanket, and join us under the stars for movie night the Quinta way.

South Course

Winner of europe and Portugal's Best Golf Course 2023 by the World Golf Awards

The South Course is the crown jewel of Quinta do Lago. Designed in 1974 by William Mitchell, who introduced American-standard greens, tees and bunkers to the Algarve. Soon the course gained a prestigious reputation and became a flagship in the European Tour Course. A favourite among European tour players, the 6,500 metre par 72 is set among umbrella pines, lakes and wild flowers, overlooking the serene Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Its championship status however does not deter the amateur golfer. While the 8th, 15th and 18th are testing holes for low handicap players, the course’s varying difficulty challenges golfers of all levels and abilities. Accurate tee shots are essential for reaching the greens, as the variety of doglegs and strategically located hazards increases the course’s difficulty. The front nine holes, which wind their way through the parkland, favour a draw. While the back nine, which loop around the lake, favour a fade from the tee.
